This is your last EVER 5th grade morning message! Wahh! Hard to believe, isn't it? I'm going to be busy helping students get started on their SS quizzes this morning, so please read the steps below carefully:
- Set up your desk area for the MAP QUIZ: This means... NO maps in sight. And, boundaries up using book boxes or Friday Folders.
- Come see me to take a look at your second graded quiz. After we discuss it, I will give you the final quiz to take.
- TURN IN the map quiz to me.
- Today I need your help putting together work sample folders for middle school: Your 6th grade teachers would like to see some writing samples from your year. If possible, please print copies of your fantasy story from 3rd quarter and your persuasive essay from 2nd quarter. Turn these in to me.
- Begin cleaning! Please use a Lysol wipe to SCRUB your CUBBY.
- If you finish everything, I need you! Come see me for a job :) Make it a great day,

Directions: Watch the video together as a class. Then, students should answer questions to quiz with their talking partners on the carpet. Review the answers together at 10:05, just before heading out to recess!
Science EOG Jeopardy: 12:55-1:25
Click HERE to begin the Jeopardy Game.
Directions: Students should turn to the second page in their SUB packet, which is a Jeopardy game recording sheet. Explain the following:
- Each table is a team. (Tables already know their table #.)
- Each table takes turn choosing a question. When a question is chosen, give the entire class 20-30 seconds to record the question (WITHOUT TALKING) in the appropriate box on their recording sheet.
- Once all students are finished recording, EVERY team should discuss the question for 20-30 seconds. Then, the team who chose the question can respond. If that team answers correctly, award them points. If they answer incorrectly, the next team can answer the question for points.
- Continue playing until 12:25. Write down the name of the team with the most points at 12:25; they will earn a prize tomorrow!
- Reasons to TAKE AWAY points: unsportsmanlike conduct, talking out of turn, not following directions, etc.
